Gavin Esslemont, Director at TradesAdvisor, comments, “Following the success of our first ever awards ceremony last year, we are delighted to be able to follow up with our second, bigger and better awards ceremony for 2014.

“TradesAdvisor.com was originally set up following a bad personal experience with a tradesman. There was no trusted and recognised resource that facilitated the public’s requirement for a reputable tradesman. From there myself, and fellow director Darren Ross, decided to set up our online directory, and from getting to know our members it was clear that the majority of them were conducting outstanding work.

“These awards were set up to recognise and reward these fantastic achievements, showcasing the extraordinary talent, service and knowledge the tradespersons of the North-east of Scotland have to offer.

“We look forward to receiving entries and would encourage everyone – whether you feel you warrant an award or not – to apply. Your story is often much more interesting than you might think!”

It is free to enter the Trades Awards, with each applicant eligible to enter a maximum of three categories each. The deadline for entries is Friday, February 28th, 2014, with finalists announced on Friday, April 18th, 2014. Award entries will be judged by an independent panel of experts, and winners will be announced at a lavish awards ceremony on Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at Aberdeen Football Club.
