A new quarterly business magazine for the north-east of Scotland, Business Now, publishes its first issue today (Friday 25th July 2014).

The aim of Business Now is to give another voice to the commercial community in the North East, to allow readers to keep up-to-date with what is happening currently in the business world.

The first issue covers topics such as the impact the economy may have on the referendum debate, the importance of corporate social responsibility for local businesses and an in-depth interview with Stewart Spence of the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa on his 50-plus years in the hospitality industry, as he prepares to move on to the next chapter in his life.

Business Now also has reports, among other sectors, on what is happening within finance, oil and gas, the bustling property market, business travel, hospitality, recent appointments and upcoming business events.

In addition to sector news, this new publication incorporates reviews on motoring, starting with the new Lexus RX, and offers some suggestions for relaxation, including two-wheeled, adrenalin-fuelled pursuits.

The recent annual cHeRries and ENET awards ceremonies are also reviewed, with details of who claimed the trophies and who picked up only the second lifetime achievement award from ENET.

Business Now is published by HOMMAC Media Ltd, a new joint venture between House of Morgan and Mackintosh Media Ltd.

The second issue is due out at the end of September.
