Carphone Warehouse staff at Glasgow Fort are celebrating after being named as one of the top mobile phone store teams in the UK by mobile phone magazine iSellMobile.

And its manager David Rafferty won the title of Carphone Warehouse’s Store Manager of the Year – beating several hundred other stores to clinch the title.

David, who has worked at the Glasgow Fort store for five years, said:

“I am immensely proud of my team for its hard work in delivering a truly great customer experience and am delighted with the recognition we have received. It was also a great personal honour to be named Carphone Warehouse’s manager of the year.”

Glasgow Fort’s Carphone Warehouse employs 15 people and is one of the biggest stores in Scotland.

Phil Goodman, Centre Manager at Glasgow Fort, said:

“I would like to offer huge congratulations to David and his team who are obviously doing a fantastic job.”

The team received votes for the iSellMobile award from other stores, as well as its contacts throughout the industry. David was then interviewed by the judging panel.

David’s Store Manager of the Year title was decided by company directors and was based on the store’s contribution to the business and overall personality of the manager. The Glasgow Fort branch has doubled its sales volume year on year and is now in the top 100 stores in the UK.
