A new wellness centre has opened at 36 North Street, Inverurie.
The company behind the Inverurie Wellness Centre, Positive Mind Mechanics is co-owned by Susan Murray who says, “We all know that eating a healthy diet and engaging in moderate physical activity play an important role in a balanced, healthy life. However, putting these into practice can sometimes be difficult and many people don’t know where to start. We can help people make healthy lifestyle changes one step at a time.”
With over 20 years experience in helping people achieve their goals, Positive Mind Mechanics believe creating and maintaining health and wellness is essential to getting the most out of life.
This philosophy is equally applicable, whether an individual or part of a workplace environment. When a person’s mind and body work together to form a true alliance, the individual will flourish.
A key factor, that affects individuals and can have a negative influence on daily life, is stress. This is a key focus for Positive Mind Mechanics, and one that is highlighted by the Mental Health Foundation, during Mental Health Awareness Week.
CEO of the Mental Health Foundation, Jenny Edwards, says “‘We are very excited about the potential mindfulness has to improve our nation’s mental health. As a society we have to put more focus on prevention and there is now also a growing body of evidence that practising mindfulness, taking time to focus on the present rather than analysing the past or worrying about the future, can help maintain good mental health.”
