Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd have won a Gold Award at the prestigious Considerate Constructors Scheme’s 2016 National Site Awards for its Aberdeen International Business Park project next to Aberdeen Airport.
The award, presented at The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh on 11 April, was given within the category of sites with a project value of £10m and over.
Over 3500 guests from construction sites of all different sizes are attending award ceremonies during 11-29 April at venues in Edinburgh, London and Manchester.
The annual awards recognise the highest levels of consideration and care shown by sites registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme towards their local neighbourhoods, the general public, their workforce and the environment. They are judged by Scheme Monitors visiting the site and rating their considerate performance against the Code of Considerate Practice.
The Aberdeen International Business Park project was the first phase of this commercial development and required the construction of a new steel-framed building. The site team performed exceptionally well in all areas of consideration, from immaculate presentation to first class community relations.
Scheme Chairman Mike Petter said: “Congratulations to Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd on achieving a Gold Award. This is an exceptional achievement and highlights how Considerate Constructors Scheme-registered sites are continually raising standards way above and beyond statutory requirements.”
