Bon Accord & St Nicholas has appointed Katherine Boyd as its new commercial manager.

Katherine has joined the shopping centre from a retailer within the complex and brings with her more than 13 years of experience encompassing managerial responsibilities, visual merchandising and customer service.

She will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with retailers and businesses, exploring new income opportunities, monitoring traders’ sales performance and highlighting advertising and promotional opportunities available at Bon Accord & St Nicholas.

Katherine previously worked in a managerial role at The Disney Store within the centre.

Craig Stevenson, manager of Bon Accord & St Nicholas, said: “Katherine has already proved in the short time she has been with us that she will be a great asset to the team moving forward and we are delighted to welcome her during what is a very exciting time for Bon Accord & St Nicholas.

“We work hard to ensure we are at the forefront of the retail sector and her extensive experience and passion for the industry is a great asset to us. Bon Accord & St Nicholas is continuing to attract big brand names and our future development plans will ensure we remain at the heart of the retail scene in Aberdeen. We are confident that Katherine’s skills and passion will help us maximise our shopping offering and continue to innovate, ensuring our continued success.”

Katherine added: “I am thrilled to be joining Bon Accord & St Nicholas and I am looking forward to playing a big part in the future of the centre. I am not a stranger to it having worked on the shop floor upwards to senior management roles at The Disney Store.

“We are incredibly lucky to have such a winning combination of retailers in Bon Accord & St Nicholas including the more recent additions of Ness, Jojo Maman Bebe and Jigsaw and I am excited to build on that and continue to foster partnerships with retailers.”

Bon Accord & St Nicholas are at the heart of Aberdeen city centre’s retail sector, offering 840,000 sq ft of prime space and home to around 100 stores. Scotland’s largest Next, Aberdeen’s only Topshop and Topman standalone store as well as the City’s largest New Look and River Island are among the key retailers.

The centres, which attract an average of 275,000 visitors a week, are owned by BMO Real Estate Partners and managed by specialist retail agency Savills. For further information on the centres visit www.bonaccordandstnicholas.com.
