Graham’s The Family Dairy strike multi-million pound deal with Lidl

Aberdoyle Dairies Scottish Traditional Dairy Ice Cream

Lidl has revealed a new deal with Graham’s The Family Dairy that will see ice cream added to the growing list of products sold under its Aberdoyle Dairies brand throughout its 91 stores across Scotland.

Graham’s currently supplies milk, butter, cheese, and cottage cheese to Lidl, with other dairy products in the pipeline and is developing its new facility in Glenfield, Fife, to help meet the demand.

The new deal multi-million pound deal over the next 12 months builds on the 30 products already sold under the Aberdoyle Dairies brand, with yet more to follow later in the year. With Scotland basking in recent sunshine, the new ice cream range is set to be a hit amongst parched sun-seekers throughout the summer.

Paul McQuade, Senior Buyer for Lidl in Scotland said: “Our strategy has always been about looking for the best quality Scottish produce to stock in our stores at everyday low prices. Lidl have worked closely with Graham’s for over a decade to ensure our customers receive a wide variety of quality Scottish dairy products. We have now developed an own label ice cream range produced using Scottish milk and double cream which we expect to go down very well with Lidl shoppers.”

Robert Graham, Managing Director at Graham’s The Family Dairy, said: “We are delighted to be suppling Lidl with our award winning ice-cream which is made using the highest quality milk produced by our own local farmers. We have a strong relationship with Lidl which has been built over many years of working together, because Lidl, like our family business, share a commitment to quality products with a genuine local provenance. This deal is not only positive for our business, but it also supports Scotland’s farming community.”
