Dalhousie Castle part of the Robert Parker Collection of hotels has appointed Mark Rawlings-Lloyd as General Manager.
Mark joins Dalhousie Castle from Eshott Hall, a boutique Northumberland country house also part of the RP Collection.
Mark is a highly experienced hotelier, and has spent over 30 years in the hotel industry. He has worked in a number of 5 star corporate and private sector hotels, including; South Lodge Hotel in West Sussex, the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton and Murrayshall Hotel in Perth.
In taking up the reins at Dalhousie Castle, Mark will be responsible for the management of one of Scotland’s oldest inhabited castles, and one of its most prestigious hotels.
Located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, Dalhousie Castle is an exclusive 35 bedroomed hotel, which has extensive conference facilities, luxury spa and a 2 AA rosette restaurant. Offering both UK wide and international appeal, it lends itself perfectly to both the leisure and business markets.

During the last twelve months, Dalhousie Castle has had a resounding success in terms of accolades and achievements. They won Castle Hotel of the Year for Scotland in the National Scottish Hotel Awards 2016 and swept the boards at the Regional Scottish Hotel Awards winning regional award for castle of the year, wedding hotel of the year, events team of the year, housekeeper of the year and hotel manager of the year. The hotel also has also recently received the prestigious AA Hotel Silver Star Award and Two Rosettes.
