Aberdeen-based document management and print solutions firm, Capture Imaging Solutions has announced its acquisition by Konica Minolta.
Established by local businessmen Colin Yule and Robbie Cheyne in 2005, Capture Imaging Solutions has grown to provide managed print hardware, servicing and document services to over 600 clients across the UK, spanning a variety of sectors including oil and gas, education, professional services and the motor trade.
With a year on year revenue growth of 10% during 2015-16, and new revenue sales totaling £1.6m in the past six months, the Capture Imaging success story continues – and a part of that success has been the long standing relationship with Konica Minolta.
Managing director, Colin Yule firmly believes the acquisition will allow Capture Imaging to provide an enhanced service to its existing and prospective client portfolio: “Capture Imaging is a company with its feet firmly in the local area. By taking our partnership with Konica Minolta to the next level, we’re simply enhancing our existing service in a number of ways.
“The speed with which technology changes is phenomenal, and our aim has always been to keep clients at the cutting edge of such change. However, by joining forces with Konica Minolta, we’re now opening up new horizons in this respect, whilst allowing our clients to benefit from “direct from manufacturer” costs.”
With a large proportion of Capture Imaging’s clients working on an international basis, the union with a global market leader also enables the company to provide efficient – and cost-effective – overseas print and documents management solutions in a way previously not possible.
Neil Dingley, managing director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd added: “This acquisition allows us to further develop and deliver a complete and unrivalled service to new and existing customers in the Aberdeen area, providing Capture Imaging customers with a premium, locally-driven service that is supported by Konica Minolta’s knowledge and expertise.”
