Irish laser and aesthetic clinic group, Therapie Clinic, has announced plans to expand its operation into Scotland, opening two new clinics in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The group, the largest provider of laser hair removal, skin and botox treatments in Ireland, has 15 clinics across the Republic and Northern Ireland has chosen Lothian Road, Edinburgh and St Vincent Street in Glasgow as the first two sites in Scotland.

Therapie Clinic provides the worlds most advanced laser hair removal, skin and Botox treatments with initial free consultations, and has carried over a million treatments to-date. Therapie Clinics will be regulated by the Healthcare Improve Scotland.

The new clinics will create 20 jobs in Scotland and staff will be trained to the exact standards of the brand. Recruitment will start shortly.

The world-class equipment used by Therapie Clinics is one of the reasons the treatments are the most effective world.

Phillip McGlade, founder and director of Therapie Clinic said: “We’ve chosen Scotland to expand into because we’ve indentified a gap in the market for a high quality treatment at an affordable price.

“The Scottish market is of course different to Ireland and there is a bit of education amongst consumers as to what laser hair removal is and how it can improve lifestyle.

“Our longer term plans are to open 50 clinics in the UK.”

The investment to move into the Scottish market is estimated to be around £2 million.
