Laura Etko started the gym believing that she would work part time delivering a few children’s fitness classes a week.

Seven years later, the Kid’s Gym Program alone has 40 classes catering for over 800 children per week.

In 2009 Laura more than doubled her predicted turnover. Exceeding all her expectations.

Within the Kids Gym we see 18 month old toddlers just beginning to explore their physical environment, enjoying our fun classes with their parents. To enable child and parent bonding and development is a pure joy for our coaches. We also see major mile stones like children successfully doing their first forward role or walk along the balance beam.

Laura has continued to exceed expectations by increasing her turnover by 255% in the past seven years.

The customer base has increased from around 100 children in 2009 to the current number of over 800 children enrolled in the various gymnastics classes, and around 100 members of the adults’ gym.

Having started out as owner run and managed company, we now employ 18 staff in addition to the two directors, and there are plans to fill several more roles within the company in the next few years.

In October 2016 we will be opening our new purpose-built gymnastics facility. This will be the first of its kind in the area – and one of the foremost in Scotland.

The new gymnasium will become a learning centre for members of all ages and abilities. It will also act as a host venue for regional and national competitive gymnastics events.

The facility has been self-funded, as we strongly believe that there is a local demand for it. Furthermore, we are committed to offering our members the best possible fitness experience in terms of both our teaching methodologies and environment.
