An Aberdeen bar & restaurant is celebrating after being named as a finalist in two leading industry awards ahead of its one year anniversary.
No.10 Bar & Restaurant (No.10), which is located in the heart of Aberdeen’s West End, has reached the finals of the Scottish Licensed Trade News (SLTN) awards in the Best New Business category and the Aberdeen City & Shire Tourism Awards (ACSTA) in the Best Informal Eating Experience category.
Both prestigious awards aim to celebrate & recognise the best of the best in the hospitality & tourism sector, with the SLTN awards incorporating the whole of Scotland and the ACSTA focusing on the North-east region.
No.10 Bar & Restaurant was re-launched in October 2015 following a significant three-month refurbishment which transformed the venue into a stylish bar & 90-seater restaurant. Since launching, No.10 has been revitalised to its popular heydays, providing the North-east with an elegant, yet understated dining experience in a relaxed, stylish atmosphere. The expansion has also created more than 30 jobs for the city.
Restaurant manager at No.10, Andrew Stephen, said: “The whole No.10 team is extremely proud to have reached the finals of both awards, especially as we approach our one year anniversary in October. Since re-opening with the new look, No.10 has gone from strength-to-strength and that is down to our supportive and loyal customers, along with our hard working team.
“Aberdeen is facing a difficult time right now and as an independent business we are striving to provide our customers with the best customer service and quality produce so they can enjoy eating local. It is a huge achievement to be shortlisted in amongst some of Aberdeen’s and Scotland’s best venues and we look forward to celebrating the hospitality industry at the finals.”
No.10 Bar & Restaurant, which is open seven days a week, has already experienced award success receiving a special award from a local lifestyle magazine in the North-east which was voted by its customers. The SLTN awards, which takes place on Thursday 3rd November will see No.10 compete against other new venues from across Scotland. The fourth annual ACSTA will take place on Friday 25th November to recognise the excellent tourism businesses of all sizes throughout Aberdeen City & Shire.
