sensewhere, the fast-growing Scottish company that provides specialist location services software and technology has secured a spectacular office space in Edinburgh city centre.
the company has signed a sub-lease to take 4,360 sq ft on the top floor of 108 Princes St, directly above Next, the retail chain which lease the whole building. The business has let the space until February 2023, which is the end of Next’s lease term.
After securing significant investment from China to grow the business, sensewhere is doubling its footprint by relocating from a 2000 sq ft property in Kittle Yards, Causewayside.

Next was jointly represented on the deal by commercial property agents Bilfinger GVA and Culverwell and the floor was fully refurbished by building surveyors Malcolm Hollis to meet sensewhere’s requirements, which includes a private balcony with stunning views directly across towards Edinburgh Castle.
Peter Fraser of Bilfinger GVA said: “It goes without saying that the property is in a prominent location, and with sensewhere joining Sub Surface Global and Next as tenants only the third floor is still available to let. Next will carry out a full refurbishment of this floor and are willing to deliver turn-key solutions and flexible lease terms, which are particularly important given the lack of good quality stock available in Edinburgh at the moment.”
