Dundee’s ATL Turbine Services posts 35% increase in turnover

Dundee-based turbine components repair company ATL Turbine Services is to announce year-on-year growth in turnover of around 35% to more than £5m and an increase in EBITDA of around £1.55m.

Following a downturn in business in 2015 driven by the decommissioning of the Royal Air Force Tornado Fighter Jet, the company has made a significant recovery and is seeing consistent progress across multiple areas including sales, operational efficiency, and key customer service indicators.

Much of the sales growth in the last year has come from existing customers who have noticed a material and sustained change in ATL’s performance and delivery levels. As well as this renewed faith from existing customers, the ATL continues to attract high quality industrial and aerospace turbine maintenance customers in Europe and North America, taking on five significant new customers in the last year.

The company, which has more than 60 employees, is growing its business in the industrial turbine, defence aerospace and civil aerospace sectors and has several blue chip clients including Rolls-Royce, Siemens, MTU, Kawasaki, Ethos Energy and Alba Power.

Kerr Picken, CEO, ATL said: “The consistently high service levels we routinely provide to our customers sets ATL apart from our competitors, enabling high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business. ATL’s key markets are all large and growing with plenty of opportunities for the Company to exploit its simple growth strategy, “engineered solutions delivered quickly and on time”

Picken added: “The commitment and flexibility from our workforce has been truly exceptional and order intake has grown to the extent that we have recently taken on additional skilled technicians. Having implemented our strategy, we are confident that we will continue to develop and grow our business and we look forward to a bright future.”
