Triple award nominations for EC-OG (East Coast Oil and Gas) Ltd

Aberdeen based EC-OG (East Coast Oil and Gas) Ltd has scored three award nominations recently for their Subsea Power Hub, underlining the company's innovative credentials.

The engineering innovation house and engineering services provider has been nominated in the Subsea UK awards for the ‘UK Innovation & Technology Award’ along with the SPE Offshore Achievement Awards for both the ‘Emerging Technology Award’ and the ‘Environmental Innovation Award’.

EC-OG is developing the Subsea Power Hub (SPH), an ocean current renewable device designed to provide autonomous electrical power for the Subsea Oil & Gas Sector.

Formed in 2013 the employee owned business now has a team of 10. EC-OG focus on subsea production equipment, from the equipment specification phase right through to the decommissioning.

Richard Knox, founder and Managing Director of EC-OG who has a proven history of subsea innovation stretching back to 2002 says: “Our team is absolutely delighted to have been recognised and shortlisted as a finalist in the Offshore Achievement Awards. This recognition can be attributed to my team for their expertise and dedicated service - I’m so proud of them.”

Richard adds: “The fact that we’ve also recently been short-listed for the Subsea UK Innovation & Technology Award, means we’re on a bit of a high right now!

The (OAA) is the biggest and longest established industry awards for the UK offshore energy sector, covering all aspects from supply to upstream operations and offshore renewables.
