Scotland’s Best Outdoors Show Arrives at AECC

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) are looking forward to welcoming the ‘Scotland’s Best Outdoors’ show to the Centre this weekend (9th and 10th March 2013).

This inaugural exhibition takes place in the AECC Arena and celebrates the wonderful Scottish outdoors and the activities which can take place in this magnificent country.  From kite-surfing off the Aberdeen coast to fishing in the Spey, or even just making the most of the natural flora and fauna in your own back garden, this exhibition has something for everyone; extreme enthusiasts to families alike.

The exhibition will follow four ‘natural’ themes: Earth - focusing on the hills, mountains, golf, camping and the great outdoors;  Wind - showcasing the more adventurous sports such as paragliding, hand-gliding, micro-lighting and the tamer kite flying; Fire - the thrill of adventure looking at bungee jumping, mountain biking, ice-climbing and snow-boarding; and Water - focusing on fishing, canoeing and surfing.  This is no means definitive, and the true range of activities on show have to be seen to be appreciated, there really is something for everyone!

The exhibition is supported by Allinhouse.com, Original 106fm, Neil McKenzie Joiner and Slater, Press and Journal, and Raring2go! Magazine.

Brian Horsburgh, AECC's Managing Director commented: “This weekend’s show is a brilliant event which will suit families, the general public and the more adventurous outdoors enthusiast.  In the year of Natural Scotland, this event is a great addition to the range of events held at the AECC and offers a great day out for the whole family!”

Show opens at 10am, tickets are available on the day, or in advance from Ticketmaster on 08444 77 9000 or online atwww.ticketmaster.co.uk and will also be available to purchase on the door.
