New Aberdeen HQ for Frasermedia

Pauline Fraser

Award-winning Scottish PR and communications firm Frasermedia has tripled the size of its Aberdeen headquarters with a move into new premises in the west end of the city.

The firm has invested a six-figure sum in expanding into the 1500sq ft Albyn Terrace property.

Frasermedia delivers PR and strategic communications to a range of clients operating in local, national and international markets and has a team of seven operating from its Aberdeen base and an additional member of staff managing north clients from its Inverness office.

The new premises incorporate a work studio, green screen film studio, meeting space and training academy, to allow the business to further develop its range of PR and communications services and media response and presentation skills training.

Launched in 2007 by former broadcast journalist and TV news presenter Pauline Fraser, the business has grown organically and manages PR clients from a diverse range of industries.

The business previously operated from the city’s Chattan Place for five years but had outgrown the premises as the client list and team increased. In the past year the business has seen a 60% increase in monthly retained PR income and last year invested a five figure sum in the acquisition of an Invernessbased PR firm to allow growth in the north.

Managing Director, Pauline Fraser, said: “This is an excellent move for Frasermedia and is an ideal creative space to allow us to continue our exciting journey delivering PR and training services to our current and future clients. We searched for more than a year to find the ideal premises to expand the business and Albyn Terrace provides us with fantastic space and is wellplaced in the centre of the west end so we can service our clients in the city and across the North-east.

“The training academy, film studio and lounge area also allows us to grow our training course offering for media response and presentation skills training giving clients the chance to learn in an inspiring environment outwith their own offices.”

In addition to being utilised for media training purposes, the film studio at Frasermedia’s new HQ is used to film the Press & Journal’s daily news bulletins, which are presented by Ms Fraser Monday to Friday, and the company’s weekly client news bulletin, the FM Muse.

With additional growth in the pipeline for the North-east and Highlands, the business is set to target additional business in the Central Belt to grow the brand further afield, with plans to increase the team as the client base continues to expand.

The firm was recently announced as a finalist in the Made in Aberdeen category for the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce’s Northern Star Awards 2015.
