Calibration firm, Trescal, has announced that its UKAS-accredited facility at Donibristle in Fife is now fully operational.

At 28,000 sq ft, the facility is the largest calibration site in Scotland and employs 47 people, including four apprentices.

Following investment from the firm, the site has consolidated and brought together the previous Trescal Glenrothes facility and the Aeroflex Test Equipment Services laboratory the firm acquired, strengthening its resource and technical capability in the region.

The site is also the first UKAS-accredited facility in Scotland to offer temperature calibration, among other capabilities including high voltage, radiation hazard, torque, volume, dimensional, electrical, pressure, and repair.

Ken Baxter, general manager for Donibristle at Trescal UK, said: “The Donibristle Trescal facility is a one-stop-shop for all UKAS accredited calibration services and needs which, thanks to the investment to consolidate all of our expertise and knowledge, is now under one roof.

“We have listened to our customers and as part of the investment have focussed on bolstering the services Donibristle can offer, in addition to investing in new equipment to service an even wider variety of markets.”
