Business Stream Poaches Water Expert from Rival to Lead Service Delivery Team

Dave Allin

Business Stream has appointed Dave Allin, formerly of Severn Trent Water Services, to further strengthen its senior team ahead of the opening of the English water market in 2017.

Dave Allin, who was headhunted specifically for his impressive track record in the non-domestic market, will become Business Stream’s new head of solutions following his notable success at Severn Trent.

During his 23-year career with Severn Trent, Dave progressed from a technician to one of the UK’s leading wastewater operations experts, responsible for developing emerging markets.

Other previous roles at Severn Trent include service delivery manager, where he was responsible for providing water services to a wide range of industrial and commercial customers at over 1500 UK sites.

Based in the company’s Glasgow office, Dave will report directly to Business Stream’s Commercial Director James Cardwell-Moore. He said: “Dave brings solid knowledge and invaluable experience to help drive forward our ambitions to compete in the English water market ahead of its opening in 2017. His extensive knowledge of the UK market, alongside his excellent management and service delivery track record, will help us to further strengthen our position in both Scotland and England.”

Commenting on his new role Dave added: “I am very pleased to be joining one of the industry’s most progressive companies at such an important time for the water sector. Having spent my entire career in the management and delivery of non-domestic water and wastewater services, I am confident that my skillset will benefit Business Stream and its customers as the company prepares for a new competitive era across the country.”
